About
CHFC
Finding HomeIn 1979, a group of concerned individuals
in Hialeah, Florida began Christian Homes for Children with nothing but a
dream and a prayer. Their goal was simple: to give hope, healing and
comfort to abused and neglected children by providing them with safe homes
of love led by caring, compassionate parents.
Since that humble beginning, we have constructed permanent
homes of love in Hialeah (five homes), Hollywood Hills (one permanent
home) and Fort Pierce (two permanent homes). We have also established an
office in Volusia County.
These homes are four bedroom, three bath residences with carpeting and
central air conditioning and have been built specifically for parents who
can take care of up to six children.
We also assist foster parents who would like
to care for children in their own homes but need assistance. Christian
Homes for Children serves as an extended family for them by providing
additional financial support, food and clothing. At full capacity, we care
for up to 100 children. Many of our parents have adopted the children in
their care. What a joy it is to see boys and girls who have suffered so
much be given hope and healing by nurturing Christian parents. However,
there are many more children in the State of Florida who have no such
home. They languish in “the system”, being sent sometimes to foster homes
not much better than the home they were just removed from. Their lives are
full of uncertainty, loneliness and fear. Please take a moment now to send
a donation to Christian Homes for Children. Your gifts are tax-deductible.
These young children desperately need our support. Together, we can
continue to give hope to hurting kids. Will you help us?
